Who holds what.
Health Canada issues a product licence with a Natural Product Number for the product, and a Site Licence for the site that imports, stores, packages or labels it. A foreign brand cannot import without one. We hold the Site Licence and manage your NPN or DIN applications, and we tell you upfront whether your brand keeps the product licence or we hold it on your behalf.
Beyond the Paperwork.
Our expertise extends into the fine details of bilingual labeling and ingredient review. We don't just get you licensed; we ensure your brand positioning remains intact while adhering to the strict federal guidelines that Canadian consumers trust.
Formula before forecast.
We audit your formula against the applicable Health Canada monographs, checking medicinal ingredient, source material, dose, subpopulation and claim. Ingredients that are routine in the US are sometimes not permitted here, or only at lower doses. If a SKU falls outside the monograph stream, we tell you before you build a launch date around it, because the non-monograph pathway is a different timeline entirely.
We carry the GMP file.
Version 4.0 of Health Canada's GMP guide for natural health products came into force on March 4, 2026. Importers must show evidence that the foreign sites they import from meet Canadian GMP requirements or the equivalent, and are answerable for the safety, efficacy and quality of what they bring in. We hold that evidence and that responsibility.
Not Everything in This Aisle Is a Supplement
A US brand's gummy, greens powder, protein bar or functional drink is often not a natural health product in Canada. It's a supplemented food, regulated through CFIA rather than an NPN, and it needs a Supplemented Food Facts table, cautionary statements and a caution identifier on the front panel. That deadline passed on January 1, 2026, as did front-of-package nutrition symbols. Importing food also requires a Safe Food for Canadians licence, which is not the same as an NHP Site Licence. We hold what your catalogue actually needs and classify each SKU before you commit to artwork.
